The cheese fries weren't bad as a appetizer the steak was over cooked so I sent it back what I received was also over cooked and drier than the first steak. The baked potato was quite delicious and I honestly would have liked to have just that. The coconut shrimp weren't bad nothing to write home about though. The moon shine wings or whatever they ate called aren't bad but what's with the dipping sauce? The sauce for the coconut shrimp wasn't good neither was the sauce for the wings. The potato however earned 5 stars but the rest of the food pulled you down sweet delicious loaded potato.

Good news is they allowed us to order bang bang shrimp from next door, bad news is it tasted like crap. Crab app tasted and smelled like it was rancid. It's Outback, nothing special.

Oh boy. Nothing beats lack luster service and food that comes out cold. Sucks when the waiter never checks on you and your water glass is empty. We went late in the lunch time but early for dinner. There wasn't a line and we were semi seated. The hostess said follow her but then said to go to the last booth in the left and after we sat down she brought menus. The bread came out hot but that was it. When my rib meal came out dry and with 10 fries I was not happy with the cold temp and no fries. New got fries came out but had to send my meal back. My fiancé got a burger that was dry and warm. So he sent his burger back because there was no sauce. Who serves fries with no ketchup and cold? If our server worked as hard as he apologized then the meal would be great but nope! I had a coupon and he even forgot to take the coupon off when he brought our bill. What an epic fail all over the place. So much for moonshine ribs and burgers from outback. I won't be back

So tonight the food was amazing , I had the kids meal : ribs w the house salad and of course ranch dressing on the side. We also had two sets of the kookabara wings ( lol maybe misspelled.. And the crab and artichoke dip with tortilla chips and one more house salad. The food was fresh , great portions for everyone. My tummy was happy. My parents enjoyed their food as well. The only reason I gave four stars is because the waiter never cashed out our bill/check and he was nervous .. My mommy had to remind him that we needed our change so he could still get a tip. He was young, but with growth I think he will be ok and progress. Other than that . Maybe the Owings Mills location should expand a little bit more because it is a great spot to go to with family, friends and coworkers.

Because they are so good with food allergies, I go to Outbacks a lot. This one is a bit substandard. First of all, I had to wait with a pager at lunch when the restaurant was less than half full. The bench in the waiting area was so dirty the kids I was with refused to sit on it. At the table, one of the cloth napkins was dirty as well, and there was something caked on the salt shaker. The waiter was friendly, but visited pretty infrequently. Our orders were all correct, but we had to wait a while for refills. The food was good, however, and they managed several special requests well. Though this isn't my favorite Outback (it's the one on Shawan Rd), I'd go back.

Food was generally good and service wss good to my only problem was that after 45mins they told me the potato soup was out so overall this outback isod

I placed an online order which was supposed to be ready in about 35 min. We are now leaning towards an hour and no food. This is the second time I've done curbside pick up and it hasn't quite gone as expected. I've eaten inside of the restaurant and gotten excellent service and acceptable food. I now have the Manger looking into why my food is delayed. Well, he just returned and said their boxing it. Mike the Manger made me feel like a valued customer by taking care of my order and comping our meal. I may give them another chance.

Their bread is so nice. The crab avocado appetizer is great. Great clam chawder soup. The most importantly, their stake is tenuous and juicy and nicely seasoned.

I will keep this plain and simple. I am not an all american steak kinda guy but I do like a good piece of steak from another persons plate and Outback is pretty kewl depending on which one you go to I guess. BUT THIS ONE...MY GAWD I ordered a Cobb Salad (Now How Hard Can F^cking Up A Salad Be Right???).....I will say I would have been better off making this salad at Ruby Tuesday's salad bar myself. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because I was at the bar and thought maybe this is because they don't want to overcrowd the tight (meaning small) bar with over sized dishes/plates. BUT...that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the salad I was given. #FML I feel as though this Outback Steakhouse is not at it's full potential therefore anyone that ventures here I hope you enjoy The Out-House

Their food is so bad I struggle calling it food! The salt content is over the top, it's like you can taste salt as your ordering your food. They need quality control. You can't call yourself a steakhouse without clear knowledge on how to get the temperature of meat just right. No, no, no,!

  • David B.

Ate dinner here tonite, here is the run down. The steak was supposed to be medium well, instead medium rare. The redo steak was dry as hell, assuming there is a hell. The soup was luke warm, the waitress asked us who ordered the aspirugus, sjprise nobody at our table did. The table next to us got their order screwed up several times too .... The loaded baked patatoe was great.

Worst call in and pick up service ever! How do you call in and place 2 orders, go to pick it up, wait almost 20min b4 any one approches your vehicle. The servers then took my money brought me back my change and never said anything about running out the second order and what would like in place of it. Luckily I was smart enough to check the bag before I left, but if I hadn't I know they would have let me drive off as if everything was fine. Customer Service is just shot these days!

Oh my star-crossed lover! This review goes out to the lovely Outback Steakhouse weekend bartender. You didn't blink when I ordered mashed potatoes at the bar at 12 am on a Saturday, you also brought me a free drink (it had been made accidentally, but I like to think my charm inspires free sangria). You're awesome, Mr. Man. Unfortunately, I am a vegetarian who lives in NYC, and you work at an Outback Steakhouse in Maryland... but we'll always have the memories.

I recently had a problem with a takeout order. I let the manager know and was taken care of extremely well. In this day and age of customer "no service" these guys get an AAA +++ thanks Outback!

Overall, I like Outback. This place is ALWAYS packed, so just be ready to wait! We got here at 7:45 on a Saturday night and the wait was still 45 minutes. So, we decided to order from their take-away. We walked back, ordered in person, and were given a 20-30 minute wait time. All fine, and we walked to Dunkin Donuts for some coffee to kill time. 30 minutes later, we came back for our food AND THEY DIDNT HAVE IT. Either they forgot to make it or they gave our dinner away to the wrong customer. I have worked for 6 years on and off in restaurants so I understand mistakes happen. HOWEVER, the staff and manager who was there did NOTHING to offer to make it right with us. They gave a half-ass "sorry for the inconvenience" and re-made it. If I hadn't already paid for it, I would have said forget it and left. Maybe if we had caused a scene, but we are not those kind of people. We ended up waiting more than an HOUR for dinner, which is unacceptable. This is why they get 2 stars from me, and I will not be visiting again for quite awhile.

Outback has apparently switch from QUALITY food to QUANTITY as we ordered the appetizer, entree and side for $30. We had a "bloomin' onion", which still hasn't changed. However, the sirloins were a disappointment since the had absolutely NO seasoning on them at all. It truely was like eating a slab of beef with NO taste. We haven't gone to an Outback in years due to the 45-60 min wait times when we wanted to go, which we were told was the wait this time when we arrived. Luckily we called ahead and the wait was only 20 min, which they honored. However, after getting such a poor tasting sirloin, which I couldn't tell from a brisket or any other type of beef since it just had no taste of a QUALITY cut of beef. So, I think this will be our last Outback outing until they go back to QUALITY.

Ok so here is my HONEST review: We had a great meal that included T-bone steak, lobster, potatoes and a double cheese burger with salad with the best fruity drinks you could ever drink. Even the one I had that included RED BULL was awesome!!! I truly will go back cause the food was the BOMB!!! Sorry I should have included more pictures but I was more interested in my plates :) The one thing I would day that is lacking here is the DECOR of this fine restaurant; it could have had bare black beams with a more AUSSIE AUTRALIAN OUT BACK theme. That was my only disappointment with this restaurant was the decor.

We arrived on a Saturday night for apps, dessert & drinks. We were lucky to find two seats available at the bar. Service was rather slow at the bar although their was no high demand from the patrons. :/ We both ordered the strawberry ginger smash drink. The first sip was intense and overly concentrated with whatever syrup they used. Little to no alcohol was seemingly contained. We had to get a cup of ginger ale to dilute the concoction. That seemed to work. We ordered the small plates blooming onion and then the dessert trio. They were both as good as expected. We had hoped to get a second drink, and we did order it, but after waiting 10 minutes, we were never served so we decided to just leave. Oddly, once we requested the check, that and the receipt came expeditiously. :/ I doubt I'd dine at this location again or at the bar. I much prefer the crowd and service at the Ellicott City location.

Good service each visit and the food is always good. The bread is served warm and we always ask for more. The cream of crab soup and french onion are delightful.

Date of our visit was 9/20/15 we were a party of 4 . There was no wait TO BE SEATED getting our meal was a different story. We wanted to order the unlimited shrimp but did not because of a prior bad experiance. We all ordered the same steak, cooked the same way. After receiving our salads and bread we waited and waited ,our sever came by and said our meals would be out soon, more waiting, then a manager came by and said there was computer glitch and our order had not been placed and our meals would be out shortly, more waiting finally another server brought our meal, only 1of the steaks was cooked right the other 3 were undercooked but no one came by to check so 2 people in our group ate their meal anyway. When our server finally came by I asked for a manager and waited some more. While waiting I saw a server put a meal on an uncleared table only to have another server to come by 5 minutes later and give that same meal to a customer seated at a table close by. A server took a blooming onion to 3 different tables before getting the right one. They were not that busy to have things so messed up. We were there 2 hours I left frustrated and hungry. This was our 2nd bad experiance and we will never know if 3rd times a charm because we will not return. There are too many other resturant to choose from in this area.

I don't get the hype. I had the 6oz. Sirloin steak with grilled shrimp, per choice with a baked potatoe, butter, sour cream and I made the other side a Caesar salad. The salad was a big portion, two people can smash on it. The salad ended up being the best part of my meal with its light green, short, stubby, stem pieces of romaine lettuce. I ordered my steak medium well done and saw no chances of pink when it arrived. It was super dry, burnt and plain with no flavor what so ever. It was tender, but not juicy. The grilled shrimp were simply disgusting. They were cold, hard, overcooked, tough, the seasonings were disgusting. The seasonings taste like salt, pepper and unclean, burnt pans. Another person had the same shrimp and agreed right along with me. I went with 8 other people and though all of them were satisfied, yet again one other person besides me was not. They said, "Oh I'm glad I ordered the chicken sandwich because it looks like nobody else has enough food on their plates! I need bread to fill up". Hilarious I thought, as I tried to eat my dry steak. I recalled how much bread and honey butter my party did consume while waiting for no food. There was almost no communication with the waiter unless we yanked him over, but mostly we waited in suspense. Everytime I chance it at Outback reminds me why it's never on my list....

First time to this restaurant and arrived on a Friday night after 9p, the day before Fourth of July, with 3 other guests. The restaurant was not crowded, but there was a 15 minute wait. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed a sour like stench immediately, as if dirty sponges or a dirty mop bucket was used to clean the place. There was no employees posted at the hostess desk, had to wait ten minutes until a waitress whose job was not to greet patrons and knew how to work the table appointment settings, but tried the best that she could until finally he hostess arrived. We requested a booth but we were walked to a table. Booths were available but currently not assigned to a specific waiter. Finally, a booth opened and we were seated. Food was horrible. Shared the blooming onion with the table whom two of them had before, ew gross! It was greasy and salty! Asked for a well done t-bone, baked sweet potato and broccoli, received medium rare with baked potato and loaded cheese. And to top it all off the waiter was slow, missing in action for long durations and only had three tables to deal with. Had to wait at least 5 minutes for steak sauce to accompany our steaks. Hello, should the waiter had foreseen that maybe we would need that! To top it all off the food was cold and horrible. Never ever again will I be back at any location.

I ordered curbside takeout twice since I had a gift card. Curbside service is fast and efficient and you can pay online including tip. Both times my food came out early as I had gotten there early. Food is a bit of a letdown. First even for takeout the presentation is HORRIBLE. I had a shrimp Caesar salad the first time. It tasted completely dry and bare of any dressing. The shrimp was delicious on its own. No sauce containers anywhere and no napkins. Second order was fish tacos and fries. This was horrid. HORRID. FRIES were COVERED BLANKETED IN SALT AND PEPPER. it was not cool. The fish was good BUT tortillas were hard and crispy and sauce was overwhelming and dripping out of tacos and neAr tasteless green goop. No ketchup and again no napkins. There was a lime wedge thrown in as garnish that was dry -looked as if someone had sucked on it- and had a long hair wrapped around it. I almost threw up. Wtf. I don't eat here and never will again. Bad bad bad

The food is good. Check Nascar to see if it's a Bloomin Monday. If so, free Bloomin Onion! The service is nice as well and a good atmosphere.

I went to Owings Mills Outback yesterday. I ordered 1/2 rack of baby back ribs and a baked potato. The food was delicious, but a super small portion of ribs for the price.

This place hardly deserves -10 stars! Ruslan (our server) save this place by +12 stars! I was with my friend last night 1-8-2013 we arrived there by 10:10pm her food was tribble bad bad bad my friends food was Steak Sirloen and Shrimp (same aweful experience as Erika had in review above!) my Steak Fotoccia was alright! My friend asked to replace her order since the food was raw and not cooked good at all, Ruslan did take care of situation very well and request a reorder to the kitchen the second order was even worse than the first one! I assume the cook was rushing to close the kitchen at 10:30pm or the cook was new or didn't know how to do his/her job well! Many Thanks to our server Ruslan to do his best to satisfied us as customer! He gave us complimentary desert which was delicious He does really provide great great customer service I mean very professional level which you won't see often these days! My last word is: I don't think if I ever ever ever going to any Steak House anymore! I am done with it!

Sit at the bar if you want the beer specials.... otherwise you are out of luck and pay the extra 2 bucks for them to walk it to the table... Also keep in mind that when it come to burgers, medium here is more like medium RARE elsewhere.

Pros: - Bloomin Onions, need I say more. - Waiter and Waitress Service Cons: - Degree of meat-wellness can sometimes be an issue - Wait time can be extremely long, which isn't their fault Owings Mills' outback steakhouse is a nice place for dinner. The atmosphere is nice though the lights may be too dim for some. The food is very good and the steak is great, as expected. Unfortunately they sometimes have trouble with the gradation's of medium well and well done and like to lean towards medium. But in their defense most people prefer their steak to not be well done. Also, all the times we have been here our waitress has been very pleasant and very attentive. We would recommend Outback if your looking for a pleasant dinner.

I have been coming to this outback since I moved out to Owings Mills about ten years ago. I like this place but if you go on a Friday or Saturday you better use call ahead seating even trying to just sit at the bar would be a mistake. Outback is pretty much a good franchise Steak house the menu is nothing to wirte home about but If you have been there before you know what to get. I always go with the Kokoboro wings as a appetizer or the bloomin Onion the dipping sause is what sets it aprt from other deep fried onions. Now as a steak buff I don't recommend getting the Outback Special yeah its cheaper but its not the best cut of beef I get mine Medium usually and it still came out a little rubbery and tough. I recommend the Victora Cut or the Prime Rib both are very good cuts of beef and are wotrth the few extra dollars, Check it out if you want to grab a quick bite and your in Owings mills

I grew up in Owings Mills so I have a special place in my heart for the neighborhood and only want to see area businesses thrive... even if its an Outback. Unfortunately, tonight was probably the WORSE restaurant experience in my life... Our waitress, at no fault of her own, was entirely inexperienced. She was nice, but it took her about 20 minutes to greet us once we sat down. The bread we received soon after was definitely a day or two old, which was the first red flag of the evening. I should have known, things would only go down hill from there... For starters we had the tuna appetizer. This part of the meal was fine, exactly the way it should be. The salads just sucked... overdressed, bad lettuce and disgusting croutons that tasted like they had been chewed up and spit out. Yuck. But the real disappointment of the evening were the entrees. My mom's 'Chicken on the Barbie" was stone cold... my lady's outback special (which she ordered medium) was beyond well done. My outback special looked like "an abortion" according to my Mom. Seriously, it was a piece of grizzle and fat... I thought it was a bad joke. But nope it was legit and the worst tasting piece of meat to ever touch my lips. I feel bad that an animal had to die to be butchered in such a way. Needless to say we wanted to return all our meals. We asked to speak to a manager, only to have a "manager in training" arrive to our table about 15 minutes after we asked for someone. This "manager in training" was pathetic, incompetent and had no idea how to handle the situation. She kept coming up with lies and excuses as to why everyone was complaining about their meal that night. I proposed that we just leave at that point, pay for nothing, and go eat road kill instead. But we were hungry so we took all of our meals back. My lady and I ordered filets instead (medium) and my mom wanted another "Chicken on the Barbie." My mom ended up with the SAME plate but reheated in a microwave. Either that or they put the chicken she ate off of back on the grill. My filet came out soon after, completely RARE. I mean like this thing was still pulsing it was so undercooked. It was like night of the living filet. Finally, after this whole disaster ensued the real manager made an appearance (we had to flag her down). She was very apologetic and willing to take 50% of the check off. But that wasn't enough to make up for this situation. We literally demanded a free meal entirely and I didn't think we were asking too much either. My filet came out fine the 3rd time and so did my lady's but they were small, pathetic cuts of filet (6 oz) and at that point I wasn't even hungry. We capped our two and a half our torture session with a little gingerbread milkshake because it was offered to us. It tasted find until we got to he bottom and found a huge hair. And that was my evening at Outback.... raw meat, grizzle, bad lettuce, greasy croutons, no refills and a complete lack of competency among everyone working here (except the real manager). We left our kind but inexperienced waitress a tip and that was all we paid. Will I ever return to Outback? Well, let's put it this way... I'd rather feast on someone's leftovers at a real restaurant. God help Outback.

Ordered online for pick up as I waas staying a a hotel in Pikesville. Order was ready on time and accurate. I had added special instructions to the order and all were done correctly. Server was really nice and verified the order was correct with me prior to my departure. Would definitely go back.

I thought about this review for days, but have struggled to decide how many stars the Outback in Owings Mills really deserves. Let me begin by saying that I love Outback as a chain, and could make a meal entirely out of that delicious, warm bread. But my experience last weekend was truly a disappointment. We called ahead and said we would be there around 6:15pm. The person on the phone said, at most, our wait would be half the regular wait. Okay, fine. We got there and were quoted a wait time of 20-25 minutes, which was the same as the time they were telling everybody else! What is the point of calling ahead? Plenty of empty tables too. The service was slooooowwww. Our server was very nice and polite, but it just took way too long. We sat probably 20 minutes before we actually got to order our entrees. The food? Our bloomin' onion looked like it had been half peeled (seriously, I was pulling onion skin out of my mouth, yuck), half-heartedly chopped, dipped, and fried, and served on a plate. Instead of the thrilling bloomin' experience of pulling out individual petals deep fried to a crisp, I'm pulling out chunks of onion fried together with its skin. Shame. When the manager came around to ask how everything was, I told her about this (and other things...just too much to type here) and she took $5 off the bill. I suppose I appreciate the gesture, but $5 off an expensive steakhouse bill? Why even bother? Overall, a poor experience, but I have to give the management credit for making some attempt to make it right.

Hit or miss. I no longer eat here. Outback in general has gone downhill but this location sucks with carryout. They usually mess up your order even after double checking it by repeating the order. They must have premade carry out food i.e. Baked potatoes and fries and chicken fingers they keep in a warmer and try to pass onto the "togo" folks as freshly made. They "skimp" on topping for the food and go nuts if you ask for more even though if you sit inside any outback this isnt an issue. My food is always dry and just overall not good. So I just dont go here anymore.

I ended up back here because my boyfriend likes their steak. We went on a Saturday night, so of course we had to wait. This was the most pleasant wait I've had at a restaurant in who knows how long. First of all they actually had a waiting area with adequate seating available for patrons on padded benches (yes there were multiple benches). There was no awkward standing in the foyer here! I don't know about you, but I hate waiting in a restaurant when there's no room and you're always in the way. In addition to having seating, a hostess came out with samples of chicken wings for us while we waited AND there was a pitcher of lemonade. While I still am not crazy about Outback's food, I think more restaurants could take notes on Outback's waiting area. Too many times I feel like a restaurant doesn't care about me until I'm seated - I didn't feel this way at Outback!

Horrible service. There are better choices in the area. If I didn't have a gift card I would not have come here. Place is dirty and the waiter we had spent more time chatting with a girl at the bar than doing his job. Waited 45 minutes after we were told that it was a 30 minute wait. We have waited way to long for overpriced over seasoned food. They need the guy from Bar Rescue or something to save this place. Our experience was not unique and I heard several other tables complaining. Addendum. The manager said we didn't have a bill. That's great now about all those problems......
